A rectangular top with an intricate brass-inlaid border and brass stringing to the edge is above a faceted standard and gadroon-carved lower section; on a foliate brass-inlaid tripartite base raised on paw feet with castors.
A rosewood library table with almost identical brass inlay at the base, executed and stamped by London cabinetmaker S. Turner, circa 1820, is illustrated C. Gilbert, "Pictorial Dictionary of Marked London Furniture 1700-1840", Leeds, 1996, p. 457, pl. 922.
