Illustrated

Egg-and-dart seat moulding is typically associated with the Yorkshire firm of Wright and Elwick. However, the scrolling armrests and distinctive leg profile suggest they may have been made by London cabinetmakers William and John Linnell, interpreting earlier armchair designs by William Kent.
