Description
The arched plate, set within a stop-fluted surround interspersed with roundels, and mounted with two bands of beaded vertical divides; the sides hung with foliate and bellflower pendant swags, terminating ins crollwork and carved oval paterae, flanking a pierced anthemion cartouche; the elaborated cresting resting on a tablet carved in low relief with draped swags, supporting a beaded plinth with acanthus plumes set at the edges and enclosing interlaced foliate sprays, surmounted by a finely executed covered urn.
