Each with a serpentine top with molded edge above a conforming bombé-shaped case with two rows of short drawers and two long drawers, between keeled corners; shaped front and side aprons terminating in splayed feet. One commode measuring: Height: 35.5" Width: 33.5" Depth: 21" Illustrated- Additional InformationHenry Hill of Marlborough in Wilshire (between London and Bath) was, in addition to a cabinetmaker, an estate agent, auctioneer and insurance representative. Hill was known for creating bombé-shaped commodes with serpentine aprons, very much in the popular French taste. |
