The upper part having an arched pediment with central oval panel decorated with classical figures, flanked by urn finials set above reeded stiles enclosing crossbanded glazed doors with geometric astragals; the projecting lower part incorporating a fully fitted secretaire drawer with a husk and plume medallion on the fall front, secret drawers set in the acanthus-carved short stiles, over ring turned reeded long stiles terminating in turned tapering feet and a concave tambour door opening to shelves; both parts having superbly executed parquetry and marquetry banding, tulipwood crossbanding and ebony line inlays throughout.
