A quarter-veneered and crossbanded rectangular serpentine-fronted top with moulded edge and canted corners is above three frieze drawers and inset cupboard door flanked by three graduated short drawers to each side and stop-fluting at the corner stiles; on a moulded base raised on shaped ogee bracket feet. Hardware later replacements.
A British Antique Dealers’ Association exhibition label (1932) is found in the center drawer. The chest also retains a trade label for the Kent Gallery Ltd., London; white painted museum accession numbers to the back.
