The hinged rectangular top opening to a black leather-lined playing surface and foliate-carved edge, above a paneled frieze applied with carved acanthus scrolls, on cabriole legs with carved acanthus and elongated cabochons, on outward scrolled feet (the front feet re-tipped and formerly on castors). The rear rail with exhibition label "Leeds City Art Gallery and Temple Newsam House."
